Griffin & Griffin Financial Services, Inc. was incorporated in 2002. Prior to incorporation the agency was a sole proprietorship trading as Griffin, Endriss & Associates.
In 1982, William J. Griffin, Jr. became associated with the Endriss agency as an independent producer operating his business from his home in East Norriton, PA. John L. Endriss, Jr., founded the John L. Endriss, Jr. Agency in 1960. The agency was located in Mr. Endriss's home in West Chester, PA. At that time the Endriss agency specialized in personal lines and garage related insurance programs. In 1990, Mr. Griffin purchased the agency from Mr. Endriss. Mr.Endriss then retired to Spring Hill, Florida.
With the purchase of the Endriss agency, in 1990, the name was changed to Griffin, Endriss & Associates. The agency location was moved first to Norristown, PA, then Blue Bell, next to East Norriton and finally to its current office site in Collegeville, PA.
In 2002, with the addition of William J. Griffin, III, as a producer, the agency name was changed to Griffin & Griffin Financial Services, Inc. The agency is now a full service insurance agency offering coverage through quality insurance companies in: New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., Arizona, California, Kansas, Minnesota, Florida, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut.
Our President
William J. Griffin, Jr. began his insurance career in 1973 with American Mutual Insurance Company as a commercial lines producer. By 1975, he was the sales manager of their Reading, PA office. In 1798, Mr. Griffin moved to INA (now ACE Insurance Group) as a field marketing manager and underwriter for international commercial acounts.
After leaving INA in 1982, he associated with the John L. Endress, Jr. Insurance Agency (founded 1960) as an independent producer, purchasing the Endress agency in 1990.
Mr. Griffin is a life long resident of Montgomery County, PA. He and his wife Eleanor, reside in East Norriton Township, PA. They have three children and nine grandchildren. Mr. Griffin is a graduate of Bishop McDevitt HS in Wyncote, PA, receving his BA from St. Leo University, St. Leo Florida. He currently holds a PA Resident Producers License.
